the first person i looked at was a man named Chris Thorsten. Chris is Scandinavian, has no former education and has a job as an iron worker. he said that he does have a very dangerous job. Chris represents his time period well because it shows that people who had no former education were used in very dangerous jobs. Anna Novak was a pcking house worker. She worked in the stockyards for eight years. She represnets her time period well because she said, "You could get along swell if you let the boss slap you on the behind," which gives an example of how women had no rights in her time. The next interview i read was about a women named Bernice. Bernice became a rent party hostess when money became tight for her. She represents her time period well because it shows when people went through tuff times they did just about anything for money. Another interview, Mayme Reese is a housewife who makes quilts with other women. Mayme shows that women who were even housewifes had something to take up their time.
